HISTORY
Actioncy GmbH, as it is organised today, was born as an idea back in 2014 during the «Homemade» working week of the Swiss Society for Mechatronic Arts (SGMK) at the Château de Fougerette in France. The SGMK had been receiving more and more requests for workshops in the field of technology and art since its foundation in 2006. It was increasingly difficult to take care of the professional processing of the requests and the coordination of the implementation of workshops within the responsibilities of the existing association structure. Petra Zumbach, Bernhard Wagner and Felix Bänteli therefore decided to take on this task with ideas from the community. They founded the simple company Actioncy. In cooperation with other partner institutions, such as LABOR Lucerne, an agency is being created that mediates between prospective course participants and course providers. Through the existing network of professionals from the mechatronic arts, workshops specifically adapted to the event can be found for enquiries and interested workshop leaders from the community can be deployed.

In January 2018, Livia Müller and Felix Bänteli successfully transferred the simple company Actioncy into a limited liability company. Actioncy GmbH has spun off from the SGMK and now represents intermediary artists and technology experts on a contractual basis with the SGMK and other communities, for whom it also stands up for fair remuneration, for example.
